Every Weapon Ranked
Crimson Desert features a wide variety of weapon types, each with unique movesets, strengths, and weaknesses. This tier list ranks every weapon type based on overall performance across all PvE content.
From swords to axes to bows and more, here is how they stack up.
Weapon Tier List
| Tier | Weapons | Who Uses |
|---|---|---|
| S | Longsword, Staff | Best overall performance |
| A | Greatsword, Dual Blades, Bow | Excellent in their niche |
| B | Axe, Spear, Gauntlets | Solid but have clear weaknesses |
| C | Mace, Dagger | Niche or generally weaker |
S-Tier Weapons
Longsword
The most well-rounded weapon in the game. Good damage, good speed, great defensive options, and the best parry tool in the game. Paired with a shield, it is unbeatable for general use.
- Best for: Warrior, general PvE
- Strengths: Balanced, great parry, combos flow well
- Weaknesses: Not the absolute highest damage
Staff
Magic weapon with the highest damage potential. Massive AoE, great single target, tons of utility. Highest skill ceiling but highest reward.
- Best for: Sorceress, group play
- Strengths: Highest damage, great AoE, range
- Weaknesses: Squishy, needs skill to use well
A-Tier Weapons
Greatsword
Big damage, big range, big stamina cost. Slow but hits like a truck. Amazing for groups that can protect you while you charge attacks.
Dual Blades
Fastest weapon in the game. Incredible sustained damage and mobility, but short range and requires staying in the danger zone.
Bow
Best ranged weapon. Excellent for kiting and safely dealing damage from afar. Single target damage is surprisingly high.
B-Tier and Below
Axe
Similar to greatsword but with more utility and less raw damage. Good crowd control but slower clear speed.
Spear
Amazing reach and poke damage. Great for keeping enemies at bay, but the combo strings are awkward and it struggles with groups.
Gauntlets
Fast and combo-focused with lots of knockdowns. Fun to play but the short range makes it hard to use safely.
Which Weapon Should You Use?
Pick based on your playstyle, not just the tier list. A weapon you are comfortable with will always outperform a "better" weapon you cannot play well.
- Balanced playstyle: Longsword
- Big damage numbers: Staff or Greatsword
- Fast and fluid: Dual Blades or Gauntlets
- Stay at range: Bow
