Complete faction guide for Crimson Desert. All 9 factions, reputation farming methods, reward tiers, faction conflicts, and optimal reputation paths.
A Note from the Author
"I made the mistake of ignoring faction reputation on my first playthrough. By Chapter 4 I had no allies and had to solo assault the Demon Gates — losing 8 hours of progress. The Crimson Cabal reputation track is the most missable: you need +400 with them before Chapter 3 ends or you lose the dark-mage ending. Don't be a completionist with all factions — pick 3 and max them. — Marcus"
Faction System Overview
Crimson Desert features 9 factions across Pywel, each offering unique quests, rewards, and vendor discounts. Reputation ranges from Rank 0 (neutral) to Rank 5 (exalted).
Some factions are in conflict — you cannot max reputation with both. Choose your factions based on your build type and desired rewards.
All Factions and Rewards
Crimson Vanguard (Combat): 12 quests, S-tier weapon blueprints, Vanguard Set armor at max rep. 15% vendor discount. Conflicts with Traders Consortium.
Traders Consortium (Economic): 15 quests, best gold-making opportunities, 25% vendor discount at max. Conflicts with Crimson Vanguard.
Church of Solumen (Faith): 10 quests, premium healing items, Saint's Necklace at max. No conflicts.
Northern Clans (Survival): 8 quests, cold resistance gear, War Drakkar mount at max. No conflicts.
Underground Network (Stealth): 11 quests, black market access (20% discount), Shadowveil Amulet at max. Getting caught reduces Crimson Vanguard rep.

Reputation Farming Guide
Fastest Reputation: Traders Consortium — delivery quests are quick and repeatable. Reach Rank 5 in ~4 hours.
Most Rewarding: Crimson Vanguard — combat bounties give reputation + gold + materials simultaneously. ~6 hours to max.
Easiest Reputation: Church of Solumen — donate gold for instant reputation. 10,000 gold = Rank 3, 30,000 = Rank 5.
Stealth Route: Underground Network — theft quests give high reputation but risk getting caught. ~8 hours if careful.
Crafter Route: Scholars of Pywel — discovering lore entries gives passive reputation. Combine with exploration.
Optimal Faction Paths
