This guide predates several major Crimson Desert updates. Highlights you may have missed:
- Patch 1.04 (Apr 23, 2026) — Easy / Normal / Hard difficulty modes, Sturdy Gatherables Chest (1,000 slots), Wardrobe (1,000 outfit slots), Bird pets with Sotdae of Bond, Weapon Throw (Kliff), Ambush (Damiane/Oongka).
- Patch 1.05 (May 2, 2026) — Boss Rematch system (Reminisce + Resonate modes), Re-blockade (13 factions / 23 strongholds), legendary pets Iron Eagle & Hyacinth Macaw.
- Patch 1.06 (May 11, 2026) — Tameable bears/wolves/deer/lions/tigers, equipment extraction at smithies, unarmed combat skills for Oongka.
- Patch 1.08 (May 22, 2026) — Pond systems at Howling Hill & Pailune Camp, Baby Wyvern pet, Tool equipment slot, Kliff muskets/shotguns, Raytraced Sun/Moon shadows (PC).
- Patch 1.10 (Jun 5, 2026) — Re-Blockade overhaul (Battle / Reconstruct stages), Wyvern mount, Kuku Bird Chick, Pinball & Orb Roll minigames.
- Patch 1.12 (Jun 19, 2026) — Outdoor housing + 58 decorative items, Workstation & Loom tools, chain attacks while sliding.
- Patch 1.13 (Jul 3, 2026) — 39 new equipment pieces (20 boss outfits + 16 armor sets), Oongka & Damiane gain Abyss access.
- Patch 1.14 (Jul 16, 2026) — Cross-save across PS5 / Xbox / Steam / Epic.

"I missed 'Beyond the Eternal' on my first NG+ playthrough because I assumed Cycle 50 was just a number. It's not — it has a unique boss (the 'Beyond' form of the Abyssal King) and a unique ending cinematic. The rarest achievement in the game is <0.1% completion. I also learned the hard way that 'True NG+' requires the True Ending from your FIRST playthrough, not just from NG+. Read the conditions carefully. — Sarah"
Achievement System Overview
Crimson Desert features 50 achievements across 5 categories: Story (15), Combat (10), Exploration (10), Crafting (10), and Collection (5). Some achievements are missable — this guide ensures you don't miss any.
Achievements unlock at the following rates: 35 unlock through normal play, 10 require specific strategies, and 5 are extremely rare (under 2% completion rate globally).
Story Achievements (15)
Chapter 1 Complete: Finish Chapter 1. (Auto)
Chapter 2 Complete: Finish Chapter 2. (Auto)
Chapter 3 Complete: Finish Chapter 3. (Auto)
Chapter 4 Complete: Finish Chapter 4. (Auto)
Chapter 5 Complete: Finish Chapter 5. (Auto)
Sacrifice Ending: Choose Sacrifice. Unlocks 'Hero's Burden'.
Return Ending: Choose Return. Unlocks 'Homecoming'.
Ascend Ending: Choose Ascend. Unlocks 'Ascended'.
True Ending: Choose True. Unlocks 'Legend of Pywel'.
All Endings: Witness all 4 endings. Unlocks 'Completionist'.
Combat Achievements (10)
First Blood: Defeat your first enemy. (Auto)
Boss Slayer: Defeat 10 bosses. (Auto through main story)
Boss Master: Defeat all 16 bosses. (Auto through completion)
Untouchable: Defeat White Horn without taking damage. Unlocks 'Untouchable'. Use dodge + ranged attacks only.
Speedkill: Defeat any boss in under 60 seconds. Unlocks 'Speedkill'. Easiest on early bosses with Tier 3 weapons.
Pacifist Chapter 1: Complete Chapter 1 without killing any human enemies. Unlocks 'Pacifist'. Use stealth or knockouts.
No Hit Run: Complete a Chapter without taking damage. Unlocks 'Perfect'. Requires significant preparation.
Mounted Combat: Defeat 50 enemies while mounted. Unlocks 'Cavalier'. War Drakkar is ideal for this.
Critical Master: Land 100 critical hits. Unlocks 'Crit Master'. Pair with crit-build weapons.
Trukan Slayer: Defeat Trukan the Ascended. Unlocks 'Demon Hunter'.
Exploration Achievements (10)
Explorer: Discover 10 locations. (Auto)
Cartographer: Discover all 25 main locations. Unlocks 'Cartographer'.
Every Corner: Discover all 50 hidden locations. Unlocks 'Completionist+'. Requires Scholar's Lens.
Tower Climber: Climb all 5 bell towers. Unlocks 'Tower Climber'. Provides fast travel points.
Mount Collector: Unlock 5 mounts. (Auto through progression)
Mount Master: Unlock all 10 mounts. Unlocks 'Stable Master'.
Rune Reader: Translate all 23 ancient runes. Unlocks 'Lore Keeper'.
Treasure Hunter: Find 50 hidden chests. Unlocks 'Treasure Hunter'.
Festival Goer: Attend all 6 festivals. Unlocks 'Social Butterfly'.
Region Master: Fully explore all 5 regions. Unlocks 'World Walker'.

First Craft: Craft your first item. (Auto)
Smith: Reach Smithing Level 25. Unlocks 'Apprentice Smith'.
Master Smith: Reach Smithing Level 50. Unlocks 'Master Smith'.
Taylor: Reach Tailoring Level 25. Unlocks 'Apprentice Taylor'.
Master Taylor: Reach Tailoring Level 50. Unlocks 'Master Taylor'.
Alchemist: Reach Alchemy Level 25. Unlocks 'Apprentice Alchemist'.
Master Alchemist: Reach Alchemy Level 50. Unlocks 'Master Alchemist'.
Chef: Reach Cooking Level 25. Unlocks 'Apprentice Chef'.

Legendary Crafter: Craft a Tier 4 weapon. Unlocks 'Legendary'. New Game+ only.
Collection Achievements (5 — Rarest)
Bestiary Complete: Complete all 47 Bestiary entries. Unlocks 'Beast Master'. Requires killing each creature minimum count.
Weapons of Legend: Find all 12 legendary weapons. Unlocks 'Treasure Hunter Supreme'. Requires exploration of every hidden location.
Lineage Complete: Read all 8 chapters of Lineage of Kings. Unlocks 'Historian'. Requires Chapter 8 hidden chapter.
Festival Champion: Win all 6 festival mini-games. Unlocks 'Festival Champion'. Requires mastery of archery, racing, and combat challenges.
Charmer: Complete all 4 main romances in separate playthroughs. Unlocks 'Charmer'. The rarest achievement.
Missable Achievements Warning
Pacifist Chapter 1: Must NOT kill any human enemies in Chapter 1. Cannot be unlocked later.
Sacrifice / Return / Ascend / True Endings: All four must be unlocked. Requires 4 separate playthroughs minimum (or 2 with New Game+ for endings 1-3).
Hidden Chapter 8: The Chapter 8 of Lineage of Kings is hidden in the Royal Palace secret room. Miss if you don't explore fully.
Hexe Marie Hidden Romance: Requires not killing her in the boss fight AND completing Rune Language collection. Easily missed.
Tips for 100% Completion
Start with guide: Use this achievement guide from the start to avoid misses.
Use multiple saves: The game supports 3 save slots. Use them strategically for different romance paths and endings.
Save before Trukan: The final boss has multiple endings based on a choice AFTER defeating him. Save before the choice.
New Game+ helps: Some achievements (Legendary Crafter, Nightmare bosses) require New Game+.
Speedrun the endings: Once you have one full save, speedrun Chapters 1-5 in 2-3 hours each to grab the other endings.
Bestiary farming: Some creatures (Nightmare variants) only spawn in New Game+. Start Bestiary in NG+ for completion.
