Overview

Respec was added in Patch 1.06. Each respec costs Abyss Fragments, which drop from Re-Blockade bosses and elite enemies. There are 3 Respec Shrines in the game, each unlocking more respec slots. This guide covers the cost, the locations, and how to minimize the need for respecs in the first place.

Respec Cost & Mechanics

Cost Per Respec

1st respec: Free (Respec Shrine quest).

2nd-5th respec: 1 Abyss Fragment each.

6th-10th respec: 3 Abyss Fragments each.

11th+ respec: 5 Abyss Fragments each.

Respec Shrine Locations

Demeniss Plaza (Chapter 1) — Free 1st respec. Unlocked by completing 'The Witch's Apprentice' side quest.

Pailune Camp (Chapter 3) — Unlocks respecs 2-5. Unlocked by completing 'The Grand Tournament' side quest.

Spire of Clockwork (Chapter 4) — Unlocks respecs 6+. Unlocked by completing 'Cloister of Ruination' side quest.

5 Tips to Minimize Respec Regret

1. Plan your build at the Build Planner BEFORE spending skill points.

2. Unlock all skills in a tree before respeccing — cheaper to test than re-spec mid-tree.

3. Save before major skill investments (save file backup, 1 click).

4. Don't respec for one boss — most builds have a counter-build, not a respec.

5. Use the Build Planner's 'hybrid mode' to test 2 builds without respeccing.

When to Respec vs Not

Just hit Chapter 4 and want to try a new build: Respec — Abyss Fragments are easy to farm by Chapter 4.

Failed a single boss 5+ times: Don't respec — try a counter-build (food, accessory swap) first.

Endgame, want to try PvP arena: Respec — endgame players have 50+ Abyss Fragments.

One skill point wasted on a dead skill: Don't respec — wait until you have 3+ dead points, then batch respec.
