Overview

Stealth is one of three core build archetypes in Crimson Desert (alongside tank and ranged). A well-played stealth build clears the game faster than any other build in solo play, because undetected bonuses give +50% damage and full XP multiplier. This guide covers the full rotation.

Stealth Build Loadout

Core Items

Shadowveil Amulet (Patch 1.04) — Required. 15% dodge, +1.5s detection delay, Vanish (5s invisibility on dodge, 30s CD). The single best stealth accessory.

Blackwing Leather Set — Full set bonus: +30% stealth damage, +20% dodge. All 5 pieces required for the bonus.

Dual Daggers — Fastest swing time for backstab combos. Bismuth Spear is a backup for AoE stealth clears.

Skill Rotation

Open fight: Vanish (5s invisibility) → Backstab (3x) → Dodge cancel → Backstab (3x) → Vanish refresh → repeat.

Backstab crits at +200% damage when fully undetected. The rotation above keeps you in 'undetected' state for the entire fight, so every hit is a crit.

Stat Priorities

1st: Dodge chance (cap at 50%) — Every point above 15% (Shadowveil) gives 0.5s more Vanish uptime.

2nd: Stealth damage (cap at +50%) — Multiplies all undetected damage.

3rd: Stamina regen (cap at +2/s) — Needed for sustained dodging.

10 Sneaky Tactics

1. Always engage from behind. Face-to-face breaks the undetected state.

2. Don't break grass — bush movement is silent, grass breaks are loud.

3. Use rooftops in towns — NPC vision cones don't reach rooftops.

4. Wait for patrols to split before Vanish — 2 enemies in one cone = 1 Vanish wasted.

5. Boss fights: Vanish on pull, Backstab during phase transitions (most bosses have a 1s vulnerability window).

6. Stealth Bow alternative — Bow + Shadowveil can clear groups undetected by kiting.

7. Bird pets (Hyacinth Macaw) give +10% XP, ideal companion for stealth leveling.

8. Re-Blockade strongholds: stealth through 90% of the camp, only fight the boss.

9. Patch 1.10 added Crouch Walk — 50% slower but full silent movement. Use it in dense enemy camps.
